My love of history once sparked thoughts of archaeology, and later an even stronger wish to record it through writing. That desire led to journalism, where breaking news was pursued even before graduation. The frontline revealed both extremes: scenes of tragedy too raw to stomach, and acts of courage so moving they brought tears to the eyes.

Over time, the shift came from the field to the newsroom. Days and nights still revolved around seconds. Drafting, proofreading, shaping headlines; each task became an exercise in imposing order on chaos and in learning how to weigh words with precision.

As the media world evolved, so did the work. Social platforms opened a new arena in the 2010s. Content needed to be curated, infographics created, and attention condensed into seconds. Filming, editing, writing; every skill had to be sharpened. Journalism began to transform from one-way transmission into dialogue.

A few years later, across continents, a new reality awaited. Western media culture proved markedly different. With language still unrefined, restarting journalism was not easy. Another path emerged instead, and it was in hotel marketing.

Here the rhythm was altogether different. There were no breaking stories, only a constant, steady tension that required patience. Days were no longer spent racing deadlines. They became about interpreting data, shaping a brand's voice, and seeking ways to move guests. From analysing campaigns and planning narratives to presenting experiences across social and digital platforms, the craft took on a new form.

Journalism rests on immediacy: speed, accuracy, clarity, the capture of a single true moment. Marketing thrives on continuity: delicacy, patience, and the creation of value through detail. One is sharp. The other is enduring. Both are bound by the same essence, communication.

Communication is never only about what is spoken, but also about what is heard. It is not merely about listening, and also about enabling others to speak. Without genuine interest in others, the path becomes steep. Journalism and marketing alike depend on care, on discerning what readers long to know and what guests truly need. Approached with sincerity, both work and life flow with greater ease.

Uncertainty has never been absent. In newsrooms, there was the fear of being too slow or imprecise. In marketing, the worry that a campaign might not resonate, or that the data may disappoint. Yet such doubts drive growth, urging constant learning and adaptation to shifting times and technologies.

The tide of history is swift and unrelenting. Complexity lies not in the world itself but in the human heart. Challenge or opportunity, difficulty or space to learn, are often two sides of the same coin, depending on how one chooses to see them.

Life, in the end, is like a mirror. Sincerity reflects sincerity. Along this path, the most admirable are always those who preserve a childlike heart. Across the many corners of the world, the chance to meet the right people and the right moments remains the greatest gift, a gift that calls only for gratitude.
