It is the winter of 1943, when a notice arrives in Tyneham. In the name of national interest, all 225 residents must leave by 19th December. The military takes the village for training. The authority promises the return of the villagers, yet the promise never comes true. Time seals this quiet corner of Dorset, and it becomes one of more than twenty “ghost villages” in England.
人去樓空數十載，民居化為廢墟，石牆斷裂，屋頂坍塌。惟信仰與知識之所在倖存，教堂與小學校今日靜靜矗立。窗花靜映山谷光影，課桌整齊排列，磚牆上一個個孩童名字仍依稀可見。
Homes stand empty for decades. They fall into ruins, stone walls fracture, roofs collapse. Only the places of faith and knowledge survive. The church and the school still stand in silence. Their stained glass catches the valley light. Desks remain neatly arranged. The names of the children are still faint on the brick walls.
泰納娒如今仍屬軍事演習區，偶爾傳來實彈演練聲，遊人僅限特定日子進入。既是軍事用地，也是獨特遺跡，告誡世人生活之脆弱，但總有些價值能承受歷史之重。
Tyneham remains within a military training zone today. The crack of live fire travels through the valley from time to time. Visitors can only enter on certain days. It is both a military ground and a rare relic, reminding us how fragile life can be, yet some values still withstand the weight of history.
